What are some cheap, healthy, convenient things I can take to school for lunch?

I am on a tight budget but I need to stay satiated while at school so that I don't give in to temptation and buy food on campus. I've done some research and learned a lot lately about how to eat on a budget, but I thought I'd ask here too in case anyone had any good ideas I haven't come across yet. Thanks!

  3. target makes granola bars that are high in fiber and only cost $1.84 for the box they taste good also

  4. jerky is a very yummy snack and it's high in protein which will give you energy!! you can even make your own if you want to save money. i make my own every once in a while which is cheaper than buying it and lasts me longer and i can make it any way i want! i get all of my recipes from http://www.beefjerkyrecipes.com they have a ton and not just beef!

  5. Bring soup and a sandwich. You can put soup in a thermos-

    tomato, chicken noodle, tomato basil, cream of broccolli

    Make some wrap sandwiches (lunch meat, tomatoes, cheese or you can do something like hummus and stirfry veggies)-peppers/onions/broccolli

    Peanut butter and jelly, tuna salad is another option to stretch the buck.

    Put nuts, granola mix, or dried fruits in ziploc bags for a snack. The veggie root chips are also great. You can make your own Chex mix or microwave popcorn prepopped.

    You could slice whatever (uncooked) veggie that you do like -

    carrots, celery, radishes, cucumbers and put it in ziploc

    I use to like hot beverages like hot cocoa and coffee and a granola bar or flavored (caramel) rice cake). Put hot beverages in a thermos

    Stay away from candy, juices and soda they will make you hungrier.
