  1. Cheap? How cheap?

    Free - your public library.

Online - once you've paid for your computer and internet access.

GoodWill - yes, they do have text books!

Mentors - find people with the skills you want to learn and hang out with them.

Your kitchen. Your workshop. Your garden. Your garage. Stuff you already own or would buy anyway.

Vendor courses. Many have detailed lessons on how to use their products.

Homeschool Support Groups often share resources and learn in small groups of highly interested kids.

  2. The cheapest would be to create your own curriculum.  You can use online resources, library and used books.

We find used textbooks at our public school.    They are trashed when then are damaged.   We go to the website for the book and find extra activities and tutorials on the website.  It takes more time to create a curriculum but less money.  Our major expenses are gas for library trips and online connection fees.

Here is an example of things you can study online.

    www.pbs.org

    www.learner.org

    www.annenberg.org

    ocw.mit.edu

  3. You can use any curriculum you want, it doesn't have to come from the state you live in. There are many online options, especially if you develop your own courses. Try Ambleside Online for outlines of courses.

  4. I attend Ashworth University but you can take college courses or highschool classes and it so cheap.. and they have the highest accreditation that you can get as a highschool. Just go to Pcdi.com! awesome im tellin you!

  5. American School is cheap 4 years of high school was $1000 bucks and you can work at your own pace.Thru this school you have to complete 16 courses and then your mailed your diploma.www.americanschool.com
