  1. You need to look around for meat markets in your area. The meats at your grocery store are usually more expensive because they have to pay the meat markets. But at meat markets the meat is way cheaper, think of it as a whole-sale store. If you go directly to the meat supplier instead of the grocery store, it always cheaper.

  2. for starters buy whole chickens, and learn to break them down yourself. It's really not that hard. I'm sure you can google some tips.

Generally stew meats are cheap, as they have to be cooked alot longer. Look around, buy in bulk (not pre-packaged), check ethnic markets. We buy all our meat from the asian market, and from a halal market, the halal market offers a bulk discount, 60lb of mixed cuts of meat (chicken, beef, and lamb) for $100. That's $1.66 per lb, and it lasts us forever. If you can find something like that, but don't have space for that much, find another family who may split it with you.

Also start shopping farmer's markets, and only buy what is in season. Don't be buying strawberries in the middle of winter.

  3. groceries bills are high everywhere. chicken is always the cheapest. and ground beef and ask the butcher at the grocery store to cut some thin sliced steaks. it seems like more and its cheaper. also family packs of sausages are not to pricey.

  4. oxtail, beef short ribs, flank steak, round steak, chicken backs, pork backbone

  5. i don't think you can get much cheaper cuts of meat than what your already buying

  6. chicken legs and thighs are much cheaper then b*****s

chuck steak or flat iron steak

    buy chopmeat in bulk
