What are some things I could do in the circus? And is being a trapeze artist really as deadly as people say? I mention it and people always tell me it leads in death ):

  1. A roustabout is a great circus job.

    And a lion trainer

    or horse trainer etc.........

    Clown

  2. If you apply for a job in the circus and they hire you... you will start from the bottom and work your way up.   That is the circus code.   Probably they will have you feeding the animals.... but not the dangerous ones.  Cleaning out and washing down the floors of their cages.  They will have you doing kitchen chores and sewing and repairing the costumes.   You will be doing janitor work basically.  But they will consider training you in your spare time in jobs like circus clown,  horse or elephant riding, selling the hotdogs, pickles, and popcorn, high wire walking... but you will not get paid very much because part of your pay includes your food, clothes and shelter and free tickets every night to see the show.

OH... trapeze does not always lead to death.  It depends on whether the show uses the net and if the catcher gets slippy hands and drops his partner 50 feet to the ground.
