  1. The Iliad?

Its all about how wonderful it is to honerably kill warriors.

  2. By putting us in the minds of both killers and victims, Truman Capote's classic, fictionalized account of a true crime, 'In Cold Blood,' can be seen (when thought about this way) to encourage two kinds of violence:

a.) The kind of violence wherein a man or woman living out in the country should be ready to kill any intruder on sight.

b.) The kind of violence wherein a person who didn't intend to kill at first feels he or she 'must' kill in the end, to eliminate witnesses to a planned, less violent crime that goes awry.

  3. 1984 by Orwell? It actually tells that there is nothing you couldn't force someone to do only if you have the right weapon for it.

  4. Why?

I guess you could say Shakespeare's Julius Caesar because Brutus and Cassius kill Caesar to save Rome (or so they think).

  5. Anthony Burgess's "A Clockwork Orange," in which the main character gets his jollies from raping, robbing, and beating.
