  1. wat are the aspects of the child with special needs that u want to intervene?

if its behavioral, then it depends on the behavioral problem the child displays.

if its social, then it would be useful to help the child to "integrate" into the general classroom. u can plan activities where the typically developing children can learn and understand differences. then plan activities where they can pair up with the special needs child. promote interaction to promote social integrations.

  2. It is desirable to keep kids in the regular classroom as much as possible, but if the child needs some specific help for behavior, speech and language, or physical or occupational therapy, then he/she may need to be in the special ed. program for these services. It would probably be beneficial to have a paraeducator (aide) to accompany the child in the first grade classroom, with special education services for the core subjects (reading and math) as needed.
