  1. yes -get it out of the stall more often.  horses are grazing animals and need to be walked daily.

  2. Swaying side to side as well.

    Over eating

Blowing bubble in their water bucket.

I hung a soccer sized ball from the rafter for my horse to play with.

Horses are intelligent individuals and will invent any sort of behavior to relieve boredom just as humans do.

  3. Weaving (the horse will move its weight onto its hide legs and the weave the front of its body back in forth) this can cause health problems.

If the horse can see other horses it may pin its ears and charge in the other animals direction, showing irritationn. (forgive my spelling)

Will show general bad manners, turning his or her rump to you with ears back either slightly or pinned. Maybe starting biteing when the horse never before offered to. Trying to charge out the door. When your leading him or her they may try to pull you along, or jerk you in diff. directions.  When you go to allow the horse into a field they will may be impatient and try to charge through even before they are relised. Kicking out at you when you first let them out through the gate.

Suddenly starting to buck under saddle when normaly the horse would be calm and didn't buck often.

I've even met some that would pretend to be petrified of something, or go looking for something to spook at, for the excuse to take off.

it really depends on how long the horse is in the stall. they don't like to be locked up all the time. they need to have pasture time to. a time to be a horse and play with other horses.

  4. I knew one horse who would hit her hooves on the wall.
