  1. gah!!

  2. Just in case this is a legitimate question, I will  give you some info. Yes, pawing but also, hanging their head low, being still, not looking around, not showing interest in things around them. Most of all, they just plain look bored.

I have a foundered horse right now, confined to a very small area. I knew he was bored, so bought a radio for him. I also have a big rubber duck for him to play with in his water trough, and a big plastic apple hung up for him to play with.

  3. I have a horse who is calm and will go anywhere, anytime quietly, but bounce his nose on a stall gate or walk a hole in the ground in a stall.  Some horses just don't like the confinement especially in the winter when they need to move constantly (unless they have a blanket or in a heated area) to keep warm especially on cold nights.  The best way to fix this is to just leave him in a pasture with a run in shed.  The best kind are built in the shape of an L so they can get out of the wind easily or escape the sun and bugs on hot days.  Run in's are so easy that is all I've used for over 25 years.  A horse who doesn't like to be stalled is not a bad one; their true nature is a nomadic one and some feel it more than others.

  4. This just has to be a Howrse question, right?  Do you always try to cut corners in every game that you play?

  5. Now granted, this could just because my boy's a smart-cookie Haflinger who gets bored easily, but when he gets bored in his paddock, he will paw, and pace, he's tried to move the mats under his shelter.  He's chewed up his lead rope.

  6. sounds like a Howrse question?

  7. pawing, vices (weaving, wind sucking etc.) pacing, stamping, crib biting, kicking the door... hope thi helped (i dont know if its a howrse quezzie or not but it may not be so i answered)
