I have an interview with an insurance company next week. What are some common questions asked in these types of interviews?

  1. Depends on the position, but if it is for sales, then they will be related to the sales industry.  It is a tough industry with very high-turnover so they want strong-willed, motivated sellers.

  2. I can't speak for them all but the one I went to, they wnat to know how visable you are in the community so that you can sell insurance to friends, family and associates.

SO if you volunteer for little league, then your face will be out there and you can sell insurance to all of the parents there....

Now granted this was a life insurance sales position....if your interview is for a health insurance company, please disregard!

Also, please note that if this is a life  insurance job, your pay will be on a draw (drawl?) meaning that they will advance you a certain amount and you will get the money back based on commissions

so if you cannot sell you might end up owing them.

(I probably would NOT ask about it in the interview but if offered the job I would want to be clear regarding how you will get paid)

  3. What position?  Claims, sales, auditing, loss prevention, actuary, etc.
