  1. Aerobics, jogging, running, even swimming. Some gyms have a cardio-kickboxing that you might enjoy.

  2. The following is done on a round timer set from 2:00 to 3:00 ( mintues ) set for 12 rounds.

Mix these things up as you see fit and never mix cardio like running into the "core" of drills ever.  Always set cardio workouts aside to be worked on at a different time in the day.

Heavy bag, double end bag, slip bag, speed bag and uppercut bag.  Stick to the the heavy bag through most of your rounds.  It's that heavy bag that causes micro scopic tears in your knuckle bones which later fill in with calcium deposits that thicken up and touchen up your hands.  The Heavy bag also increases power and never gets the credit it deserves.  The heavy bag should be your staple when running drills on the round timer.  The second most important bag you ever work on is the double end bag.  The double end bag will majorly help with bobbing, weaving, fading, swaying, ducking and breaking skills as well as help you in the developement of quick hand-eye coordination.  "Every day people" never give a good personal round timer and a assortment of boxing bags enough credit when it comes to "conditioning", but it will always be the round timer and the bags that improve your endurance more than any one gives them credit for especially when you're doing 12 rounds at a time.  You can find a decent round timer at any big sporting goods store like "d**k's Sporting Goods", for example, and they run about $20.00 to $30.00 or some where in that range.   Round drills or timer drills should be done on a daily basis, and any running and strength training ( weights ) should be sat aside for a different part of your day.  You can also set a 1:00 ( one minute ) break between rounds on personal timers.  I think "Everlast" makes the best personal timers around, because I have used mine for a long while now and it's still works like new.

    Good luck.
