  1. lunges, in very short shorts with a small tank top on...

  2. Do lots of vertical jumps and lots and lots of RUNNING!!!!

  3. I'd say something that involves digs and sets repeatedly. Start going around in a circle. Each time you send it up, move your body around in the circle, and your arms are always in the same place roughly in the center hitting the ball up.

Also try alternating digs with sets.

If you need to build up arm strength, try doing something resembling low serves against your garage door or some flat wall somewhere. That built up my arm really well.

If you have a nice big wall area I'd try hitting the ball against the wall in such  a way that it bounces back repeatedly so you can hit it again for spikes.

Also, try working on your jumps for spikes. You probably have learned the steps you are supposed to do. Find someplace that has a suitably low ceiling or something. Your goal with each run is that at the end you come as close as you can to the ceiling/your object. I would hit our 8 foot ceiling.

If you have access to a net (even if there aren't boundary markers) practice serving, jog across to retrieve the ball and repeat.

  4. sit-ups are very important. a strong core makes volleyball easier. push ups are another simple thing you can do. **jump rope**...thats probably the best thing you can do. it increases your vertical and gets you into shape. see how long you can go without stopping or how fast you can jump. work on your speed and ability to change directions very quickly...you never know where the ball will go next in volleyball. also work on your approach and staying low...coaches always look to see if you have the right form.

  5. well you could do push ups, crunches, stuff like that.

running can also help increase your stamina.

if you have beams in your hosue, or anything high up like that, take your approach, and swing your arm as if you were going to hit a ball. you can also practice blocking like that.

you can lift weights, and like i said before, do push ups to increase your arm strength, so you can hit or serve that ball harder ;]

you can set a ball against a wall too, or even try bumping it, but that is a little harder that setting it.

    hpe this helps :]

  6. there are a lot of things that you could do.  one being just running and things like sit-ups and push-ups.  another thing you could do i practice "swinging" your arm after a spike.  you could also practice setting against awhile.

    hope this helps

  7. Very simple. Lunges, jump rope and push ups. You can do ALL of these things at home. A volleyball player does not need to run, they do not need long distance training like a runner. A volleyball player needs strong legs and upper body strength!

  8. you should probably ask your coach, and if he doesnt have any suggestions that means you are terrible and should give up, so hopefully he has some exercises
