The entire Pacific Beach area is teeming with interesting stores for all people. You might try places like Buffalo Exchange, etc. There's certainly bound to be an Urban Outfitters somewhere, and you might like American Apparel.

Try Steve and Barry's, my new favorite store, clothing similar to Urban, nothing in the store is over $8.98, full lines of mens, boy's women's and girl's clothing and shoes

Hrm, I dont know about SD, but Karmaloop.com has some pretty nice urban streetwear clothes.
