  1. You did not specify the age, so I assume they are not too old.

    Ask each student to draw a picture for each line, then have them come up to the front and present it as a team.  That should be fun and the teacher could check if they have understood the poem at all.


  2. tell the students to read the poem and then "teach" the class. prompt them if they get stuck & don't make it terrifying, but a fun activity.

    or hold a seminar and allow the students to ask questions as well! :]

  3. Get the class to input their own ideas - set it as homework.

    Group the kids off and then get them to take two lines of the poem each, working independent of each other.

    Get their interpretations whilst combine them altogether in class with others - be interesting to see the outcome!
