  1. I'm italian but I come from Umbria...not Liguria...I don't know the costumes of liguria but if you have to travel in liguria I can say you that is beautiful...(my english is not very well but I hope you have understend me!!!)

  2. Some observable customs are:

    - Eating foccacia in the morning with warm milk or cappuccio.

    - Greet "salve" in the day time (straight faced) and "buonasera" in the afternoon (with a hint of smile. especially when they're about to finish the day's work).

    - The Ligurians who work in a shop or shop-office get 3 to 4 hours of lunch break, during which they cook, eat and have short nap, or if the weather is nice, they sunbathe at the beach and have a light snack.

    - They go to bar for a quick caffeine fix and to an "American bar" for alcoholic drinks.

    - For Easter, the must-have dish is torta pasqualina.

    - Usually on the first summer weekend, there will be a local festival with open-air concerts and contests.

    - On summer weekends everyone will descend on the beach.

    - They will try to make at least one weekend trip to the mountains in summer.

    - They love their basilico genovese and sometimes add potato in their pasta al pesto.
