What are some cute dog breeds?

Question

I want to get a dog. My mom doesn't like big dogs; in fact, she is terrified of dogs. However, she likes a Yorkie. A Yorkie is expensive though, way beyond my budget. What are some cute dog breeds. The dog cannot be big or large or long. It has to be small and doesn't grow beyond small.

pop along to the local resuce they will have tons of 'cute small puppies' pure breeds & crosses that will sell in the paper for £800! that stupid people will pay for!

Small dog breeds are normally quite expensive. I paid $1,200 for my teacup poodle!! He is a doll though! The best way to get a small dog for cheap is either by going to your local animal shelter and adopting or getting a "designer dog" (which is a mix between two popular breeds, they're normally not as much as full breeds). Some cute ones?

I think mixed breeds are the cutest, there's lots of bonuses too, like they don't get as sick as pure breds. Shnoodles are pretty cute (Shcnouzer and poodle), or terrier mixes, anything really, I love them all! Plus, you can find them at really good prices.

if she likes yorkies you can always find them on petfinder.com or kijiji.com, those two sites wither have yorkie rescues or puppies that are usually cheaper than normal......i saw one in my area (chicagoland) yesterday for sale on kijiji.com for $200.00, and rescues usually charge an adoption fee, but not much.  good luck!

Go to your shelter and find a small dog. You can get one that's already house trained and spayed/neutered. Win-win situation there.

All breeds of dogs are cute, big or small. :]

But a dachshund or a pug would be a great choice, they're friendly, they don't get too big, but they also don't stay super tiny and fragile.. or maybe a chihuahua if you're looking for something a little smaller.

Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are my favorite breed, not because i have one because of alot of reasons. They are in the toy dog group section. Cavaliers are known to be so friendly and good with kids...They are quiet and don't bark alot and are also very good with other animals and very gentle with everything. They are very beautiful dogs and if you are looking for a dog in the toy section i really recommend you getting a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Please if you have any questions email me at [e-mail]. Good Luck and try to adopt a dog and save a life! Also, Cavaliers have long fur but do not require as much grooming as for ex. an Golden Retriever. Every other day a little brush will do just fine. you can get a yorkie from the shelter for a cheap price.

pugs are super friendly and barely ever aggressive. but you'll have to live with the black mold, loud snoring, and nasally sounds it makes.

a lhasa apso is also a good dog to have, friendly and pretty quiet.

minature doberman pintchers can be good expect for how loud they are and they sometimes bite when they dont know someone.

theyre are lots of cute and sweet dogs out there like CockerSpaniels. they are medium sized and are one of the sweetest dogs ever!
