My son is turning 2 in September and I'll be moving him out of the nursery and into his own room as our new baby (due in November) will be moving into the nursery. I need some ideas for themes or different and unique ways to decorate his room. I would love to get resources for furniture, accessories, etc. Thanks so much for your help!!

  1. http://www.RockYourWall.com has a lot of cool things like PBKids...Magnetic dry erase tiles in any color you can think of, cork tiles, accessories, and so much more to create a custom, cool and functional style tile bulletin board!

  2. l had a customer recently that was decorating her sons room in a jungle theme, round blue green mats as ponds, jungle theme bed spread,  etc etc

  3. well if you have the money i would do the room in cars from the bed to the walls

  4. My son turns 2 this month and I decorated his room in a jungle theme. I painted the bottom third of his room in a brownish color and on the line separating the brown and white paint I bought assorted jungle looking leaves from Michaels for cheap and staple-gunned them over the line to hide it. I put an artificial tree and bought a bunch of really cheap jungle animals that are wooden and flat (about $.25/ea ) and can be stapled all over the walls in fun places. I took a vine and outlined his closet in a squiggly line and had the little wooden monkeys like hanging off of it. I also got a big wall sticker from Lowes for $14 of a jungle jeep that looks like it is bursting from the wall. Over all I spent a total of $60 on paint and materials. I even got jungle material and made him a comfortor and curtains and stuff. I will try to put a pic of the leaves I was talking about. I hope this gives you something to think about!  Ok that is a crappy pic but it is the only one I have for now, sorry!

also, home improvement stores have chalk board paint. thats lots of fun because it turns the walls into a chalk board and they can draw on the walls.

  6. CARS theme! rooms to go kids has a  car bed, which is low and PERFECT for a first boys bed, and its wood so its really nice! and they have the furniture to go with the theme, good luck!

  7. What about some Wallables?

They're really cute pieces of wall art that also glow in the dark, play music and/or recite letters of the alphabet depending on what you choose.

They're cute, fun and won't leave holes in your walls.  Plus you will have all sorts of teaching and storytelling opportunities using the art.

    I highly recommend them!

    Have fun decorating!

  8. You could do an ocean theme... it's good for all ages! Because if you do something childish, like animals, he'll get tired of it as he gets older...

But with an ocean theme, he'll like it his whole life!

Try Pottery Barn Kids... I love their stuff!

    Good luck!

    :)

  9. stop and think what he is into, most boys like cars.

think big and bright, like big and bright letters and numbers , and big and bright colour mats.

    just have fun

  10. My son is two and he Loves  The Car.. The Wiggles and animal.

so i have decorated the upper wall with removal jungle animal stickers,  placed posters of the wiggles from there magazine on another side of the wall and place removal stickers of the car on his window and he loves it,  decorate on what he loves removable stickers are great as the kids can place them on/off where they want and looks great knowing they have done it themselves.
