What are some differences between 16th century and modern science?

Around 5 differences in any area of science will do because I am suppose to compare and contrast the sciences of today between past sciences more importantly 16th century science.

  1. In the year 1600, William Gilbert first made the theory that the Earth is like a magnet. Now, we are making theories like Pluto isn't a planet. In 1583, Cesalpino started mixing different fruit seeds to see what they made. Now we have seeds that scientists make that you can buy that are already mixed. In 1572, Tycho Brahe he looked up at the stars and saw the constellation Cassiopeia. Now we can just use a telescope and see any star, anywhere.


  2. Medical science has gone back to using leeches and maggots.
