  2. Plants are diploid. Only the gametes are haploid. Seeds are diploid. So all fruits that have viable seeds are diploid: apples, oranges, peaches, etc.

    Seedless fruits are fruits that do not produce viable seeds. They are not diploid: some water melons, oranges, and bananas.
