  1. it will kill the grass under it.

  2. Probably similar to having a pool. Some people will be your friend because they want to use your rink, and when warm weather comes, they're gone.

You may be expected to spend more time outside, since somebody went to the expense and trouble of making the rink.

It's fairly easy to get banged up falling on ice--but more fun on a rink than your own driveway.

  3. The rink can be fairly costly to care for, the rink can be not nearly as smooth as professionally maintained rinks, and keeping the ice firm or not too hard depending on the outdoor temperature.

  4. well the pros and cons are:

    Pros:

    -private

-can skate anytime during the winter

-easy if you get a good kit to make one

    Cons:

    -Only in winter

    -Can Be rough

-Not as big as indoor rinks

I have one, and I like it, of course since I am a Figure Skater.

  5. umm if you are a competitive figure skater, the person who sharpens your skates will charge you more because the rough ice ruins the blades.

  6. You can not always get the best quality of outdoor ice rinks. Sometimes they can really get messed up and will not be good to skate on.
