  1. well for example the price of food it pretty high up and everything

  2. I see mostly advantages of tourism in the Bahamas. Jobs, growth and riches. It's the richest islands in the caribbean.

The only con I see and it's big, the locals can't afford to live there due to high prices for everything. That's the sad part.)

  3. One of the disadvantages I see to tourism in the Bahamas is that the amount of people creates loads of pollution.

To many cars/taxis  creates air pollution.

I think the large ships coming in would have to create water pollution.

I wonder about the large amounts of garbage, where is it all going.   And the amount of water that the hotels use... Where is the water processed from? Is  sea water being purified or is there a natural fresh water source it comes from.

Another angle could be that to much tourism also breaks down the Bahamian culture.   As more influence from other countries are introduced the original Bahamian culture becomes diluted.  You can see it in the fast food places, in the music, and in religion.

    Just my thoughts.

  4. First The Bahamas are not in the Caribbean.  Tourism is the only industry in the islands. They have limited agriculture ability and the fishing industry has been so over fished that it will take years for it to come back.  Their economy is pretty much dependent on tourism.

The water barge comes from Andros everyday.
