Misinformed ...

The P2P software doesn't cause infection of viruses and other malicious software. The files you download from the P2P network are the cause of that. But you're not going to get "Guaranteed Virus-Free" with ANY P2P software, no matter what it is.

You should have anti-virus, firewall, anti-spyware/adware, etc. It isn't smart to operate without one. Look into AVG Anti-Virus Free. There are other free ones, but AVG is the only free one I've ever used.

Limewire is a very good download, but your query is almost impossible to answer perfectly. ANY download can carry a virus, irregardless of its content. Your best bet is to ASK, your friends and trusted colleagues, what they have had good luck with. Find a good (Is there such a thiung??) anti-virus download (I use AVG, and its free), use the one tha came with your operating system, or buy one.

Any P2P sharing software can cause viruses if you don't use it right or legally. For torrents, use uTorrent, and Limewire for basic music sharing, non-torrents. Never download programs, as they are what transmit viruses.
