  1. There really are not any drawbacks.

The only issue I can imagine would be difficulty of finding green cleaning products and that they might be a bit more expensive.  Other than that though, there shouldn't be any drawbacks

  2. Hello

Nothing drawbacks for Green Cleaning Products.

1.Chemical based cleaners are Toxic, Skin & Eye irritation

    etc.

2.Chemical Cleaners are polluting Water and soil.

  3. I can't think of any drawback. I started using non-toxic products a while ago and my kids have not needed their puffers (for asthma) since. I'm loving the products that I am using and I think everyone should dispose of the toxic chemical cleaners! I would have to hold my breath to clean my bathroom, what does that tell you? Now I don't have to and I don't have to worry about my kids inhaling that stuff. Anyway, good luck to you.

  4. They are slightly more expensive, and they are not all created equal!  Read labels.  A good resource is Green Living by the Editors of E/The Environmental Magazine @ your local library.  Great organic, made in USA cleaning supplies @www.ecos.com.

  5. none that I know of.  Should be much better than chemicals.

  6. I'd go with 7th Generation Cleaning products sold at Trader Joe's, Sprouts, Whole Foods and some other retailers.  I agree with HealthyMom though, check out the organic housekeeping website to get more tips on what to get and what to stay away from.  Best wishes on cleaning green!

  7. There is one drawback that I've found but I'm not sure about it. One organic cleanser that I used on the market actually has live enzymes in it that do the cleaning. You have to throw it out if you haven't used it within 10 days because it can go bad. Anyway, I was using it in our guest bathroom tub and this really weird mold grew in the grout. I've never seen anything like it. I used a conventional cleaning product on it to get rid of the mold and will probably not use that particular cleaning solution again in that tub. I don't know if the organic cleanser caused it but I really don't want to take a chance again. It was gross!

I think if you stick to cleaning solutions made from vinegar an borax, you should be safe. Here's an article about chemical free cleaning solutions, if you're interested. http://www.organic-home-online.com/organ... .
