  1. Cook microwave dinners

  2. pasta...

    boil pasta

    drain

    add spices and sauce

    add veg

    serve

    :)

    beans on toast

    cheese grill....

    smoothies

    eggs

think outside the ready meal box.

  3. mac and cheese... eggs... instant oatmeal... microwaveable things...

  4. Stir frys- chop up a variety of vegetables that you like and/or chicken and fry. Serve with noodles that simply require soaking in hot water.

    Homemade burgers.

Chili con carne and serve on tortilla chips (can you see I am avoiding rice at this point because lots of people seem to be able to mess up the cooking time).

Baked potatoes made properly by scooping out the cooked potato, combining with cheese and ham or spring onions and baked in the oven again.

    Scones.

    Biscuits.

    Bread

  5. I think that if you do a microwave meal then yeah- your sister will appreiciate it but she'll think you forgot about it. I'd say boil so boil in the bag rice with peas and a grilled chicken breast each-- made it for my mum once and I'm only thirteen x

  6. spaghetti and meatballs (buy the sauce in the store)

meatballs are easy just google the recipe, and they impress people more than just regular spaghetti.

  7. Impossibly Easy Bacon Pie

Indulge yourself with an old-fashioned bacon-and-egg breakfast with this easy pie recipe.

I tend to do a simplified version of this which takes around 20-30 minutes:

Put the minced beef (about 200 grammes per person is a generous portion) into a pan and heat it until it's all browned and add a chopped onion.  Cook this with the meat until the onion is softened, takes another couple of minutes.

Add a tin of tomatoes, some gravy granules (about 2 teaspoons per person), a couple of teaspoons of sugar and a tin of red kidney beans.  Heat this through and then add chilli powder (add as much as you like depending on how hot you like your chilli, two/three teaspoons is probably about right) and finally add salt to taste.

Serve this with some rice and nachos and maybe top with cheese and sour cream if you like.

Just be careful as it's hot!

  10. microwave will be their best friend

  11. Mix COOKED microwavable rice with cooked scrambled eggs.  Add soy sauce.

    Yum!

(You can even add sliced green spring onions, though kids usually don't like those!)
