I am a really easy person to please when it comes to food. But it has to taste good. And with the time that I have in the day, I need things that can be done quickly.

I would like to know some recipes that taste good and are also convenient.

Side note... I work nights (2300 to 0700) and get home at around 0830. Then I have earns, the gym and a bf that I live with to take care of. (he is a kid, so he needs a lot of attention).

I know that I am asking a lot, but all of your help would be greatly appreciated... Thank you all in advance.

  1. there's actually a quick and easy recipes website check it out:

    http://quick-and-easy-recipes.com/index....

  2. apple crumble

  3. Hmm. I would suggest making something you can eat on for a few days. Like my special chicken salad. You can eat it with crackers, on bread, pita's, crossant's, and even as a wrap. Or top your salad with it.

(I buy a rotissarie chicken and break it up into cubes)

    A few cups of chicken

    tablespoon or two of mayo

    a teaspoon of spicy mustard

    1/2 onion diced small

1/2 jar of Sweet & Hot peppers (at your grocery by the relish and such)

    1/2 teaspoon of dill seasoning

    1/2 teaspoon of lemon pepper

and if you perfer fresh lemon juice - add to taste

Mix together. And put on anything you like.

*Also, you can buy refridgerated crossants, and stuff them with the chicken salad, add shredded cheese, wrap and bake. Is a lovely snack.

  4. Super Easy Crock Pot Taco Soup

    4¼ hours | 8 min prep

    Easy and SO good!

SERVES 4 -6 (change servings and units)

    Ingredients

    1 lb ground beef

    1/2 cup chopped onion

2 (15 ounce) cans Mexican-style tomatoes (with juice)

1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans (with juice)

1 (15 ounce) can kernel corn (with juice)

1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce

    1 (1 1/4 ounce) package taco seasoning

    1-2 cup water

    Directions

1brown beef and onions in skillet. drain. combine all ingredients in crockpot. cook on low for 4-6 hours. Ladle into bowls. Serve with grated cheese, sour cream, chips and avacado.

  5. One of our favorites is a cheese ravioli and peas dish.

    1 package frozen cheese raviolis

    1 package frozen peas

    Parmesan cheese

    Butter/margarine

    Salt (if you want)

Heat the raviolis is water until they float - about 5 - 10 minutes.  Do Not Boil the Ravs or they will dissolve into mush!  Just heat until they float.

Place the frozen peas in a strainer.  When the ravs are ready, drain the water directly over the peas.  Put the ravs/peas mixture back in the pot and add butter.  The ravs should be hot enough to melt the butter and thaw the peas without needing to add more heat.  Add Parmesan cheese and salt to taste.

That's all you need to do!

EDIT: we sometimes sub frozen lima beans for the peas.  If you do this, you must full cook the limas before adding the ravs.  Then just drain and add your butter and Parm.

  6. Ok,

This one's the best, it's easy, inexpensive and the leftovers are handy for many meals.

Buy a pork shoulder with the bone in. Brown it on the grill or in a pan on your stovetop.  Triple wrap it in aluminum foil, bake it @ 350 degrees for 45 min per pound.

Unwrap (watch for juice coming out) and put roast in deep bowl. Pull bone out, it will come out easily.  Get a fork and pull apart the meat into pieces (it will flake apart easily).  Store in small quantities in your freezer.  When you get ready to eat it, defrost, pour your favorite BBQ sauce on it and put it on a sandwich or just eat it plain.  The bigger the roast the more fixens you will have for later.  Fast and Convient and absolutely delicious.

  7. Quick Chicken Parmesan

4 Boneless Chicken b*****s, pounded flat

1 jar Spaghetti Sauce (I use Prego mushroom and garlic)

    3 oz. Mozzarella Cheese, grated

    2 cups Italian Bread Crumbs

    2 oz. Parmesan Cheese

    1/2 tsp garlic salt

1 egg, plus 1 tbs water, slightly beaten

Mix Italian breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and garlic salt together in bowl. Beat 1 egg in another bowl, 1 tbs water and a dash of garlic salt. Dip chicken in egg, then in crumbs and fry in oil until brown on each side (10 – 15 min each side). Pour spaghetti sauce over chicken and sprinkle with cheese, cover so cheese melts and serve. Makes 4 servings.

    Creamy Fettuccini Alfredo

1 – 8 oz. Package Philly Cream Cheese (I use the light version – 1/3 less fat), cubed

¾ cup (3 oz.) fresh grated Parmesan cheese (I like De Giorno, don’t use Kraft)

    ½ cup margarine (I use I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Light)

½ cup milk or half and half (I use 1% or 2% low fat)

8 oz. fettuccini, cooked, drained (I use the fresh Contadina low fat one)

In large saucepan, combine cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, margarine and milk.

Stir over low heat until smooth. Add to drained fettuccini and toss lightly. Sprinkle with fresh Parmesan cheese if desired. Makes 4 servings.

    Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

During the baking a cake layer forms on top and a rich chocolate sauce appears on bottom. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whip cream.

1 cup Bisquick or biscuit/pancake mix

    1 cup sugar

3 tablespoons plus 1/3 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder

    1/2 cup milk

    1 tsp vanilla

    1 2/3 cup hot water

    Powdered sugar (optional)

Mix bisquick, 1/2 cup sugar and 3 tbs cocoa in a greased 8 inch square baking dish. Stir in milk and vanilla until well blended. Sprinkle evenly with remaining 1/3 cup cocoa and 1/2 cup sugar. Pour on water. Bake in preheated 350 F oven for 40 minutes or until top is firm. Dust with powdered sugar. Serve at once in bowl with sauce spooned over cake. Make 6 servings.

  8. Well if you go to kraft.com they have super easy and simple recipes that you can make and they are delicious.

Some things that I like that are fast:

-fajitas...chicken or beef...you just need to fry up some chicken peppers and onions and then get tortillas, sour cream and salsa...fast and delicious.

-Soup...soemthing I do often is make a big pot of vegetable soup

-sautee galric and onions first and then throw in cabbage and add V8 juice to make your soup broth (I also always add water so that its not too thick.

-add any veggies that you want as well

-add boullion cubes and a little bit of balsamic vinegar and whatever spices you want.

-I then freeze it in different size portions

and when I am ready to eat it I usually sautee some chicken or something and then throw it into the soup or add like a curry spice or something and voila....easy and you have it on hand.

-anything that involves eggs..I often eat the traditional breakfast as a meal at any time of the day

    - also you could whisk some eggs with milk and veggies and ham and throw it in the oven in a casserole dish....yummy!

-you can also make ahead things like chicken and any meat with different seasonings and again freeze it in portions and when you are ready to use it just pull it out of the freezer and add it to a salad or soemthing like that!

-I also love ground beef its fast easy and delicious!

sautee onions and garlic add seasonings and spices and then throw in peppers...you could serve i t on buns or just eat it as is...with a salad of some sort...

These are just some of the things I like to eat...and I am also about things that are fast and easy!

    Good luck!

  9. Here's my favorite recipe:

    Toasted Steakhouse Sandwich

Secret Sauce: 1/2 c. prepared alfredo sauce

                          1/4 c. mayo

dash of onion or garlic salt

Sandwich: Kaiser rolls, 1 loaf of french bread or any other rolls you

                     choose

1 lb. deli roast beef or turkey (i prefer smoked turkey)

1/2 c. shredded Italian cheese blend

                     1/2 c. shredded swiss cheese

Stir together alfredo sauce, mayo and garlic or onion salt. Spread on both slices of bread. Place the prepared sandwich halves (open faced) upon baking sheet under broiler for about 1 min until sauce is bubbly and the edges of the bread barely start to brown; remove from oven. Arrange meat on both sandwich halves; then sprinkle evenly with shredded cheeses; broil for another min (still open faced) until cheese is bubbly and browning. Remove from oven. Put sandwich halves together and return to oven to lightly toast (very, very briefly only) top and bottom of sandwich; remove from oven.

This next one is super easy and sooo good. I made it last night and my whole family loved it!

    Crock Pot Beef Stroganoff

    1 (2 1/2 pound) beef chuck roast

2 cans cream of mushroom soup

1 package dry onion soup mix

Extra-wide egg noodles (cooked and drained just before serving time)

    Directions:

You can brown all sides of the roast in a large pot with a bit of oil if desired, but it's not necessary.

In a small bowl, stir together the soup and onion soup mix. Place roast in crock pot (along with mushrooms and/or onions if desired), and cover with soup mixture. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.

With a large wooden spoon, stir the finished roast a bit before serving, the meat will shred apart and mix in with the gravy. Serve warm over bowls of extra-wide egg noodles.

    Hope these help.
