When I was playing in a band years ago I wanted to take drum lessons from our drummer.  He really just put me on a drum set with head phones on and Turned on Weezer's Blue album and said try to play along.  

Weezer seemed to have really basic drum grooves in their songs so it made it easy to get the basic idea of drum playing.  

The main point here is listen and imitate.
