What are some ecotourism locations/sites?

Ecotourism is a tourism attraction that is natural. It provides education of the natural environment. You will see flora and fauna and historical sites,

for example...great barrier reef, seal bay....

anyone know any places? preferably in australia but in other countries I would like some ideas

Fraser Island is a really good example.  It is  world heritage listed and is the biggest sand island in the world.  It has a very fragile eco-system.  We were not even allowed to put on sunscreen or insect repellent on before swimming in the freshwater lakes they are so concerned for the environment.

Heron Island is another one that combines paying tourists with scientific research.

Tasmania is also very good for ecotourism - check out Cradle Mountain.

A very good (but very expensive) one is the south long island eco lodge resort, Long Island, Whitsundays.  Everything is designed to be low impact - (Although the helicopter ride in must raise the carbon footprint a bit ).
