What are good test taking skills I need to apply?

Also I've heard a lot that the ACT tests how well you take tests. Is that true? And if it is, how can I be a good test taker.

The Princeton Review Guide to Cracking the ACT. I used it and got a cumulative score of 33. It gives you tips on being a better test taker and literally tells you all of the information you need to know to do awesome on the ACT.
