  1. This is what I do:

    1. 3/4 cup water, 2-3 tablespoons APPLE cider vinegar, capful of lemon juice, 2-3 tablespoons honey (to taste). Warm the mixture up in the microwave, I use 1 minute. This is my hot toddy that I use for my entire family.

    2. Suck on a COLD EEZE as directed on the package. This is zinc, this helps the relieve symptoms of a cold and makes it run through faster. I think it builds up your immune system or something

    3. If the hot toddy doesn't help. Gargle in warm salt water.

    4. If the hot toddy or warm salt water doesn't work, get some Chloroseptic throat spray and spray according to directions in your throat.

    5. You can also take Advil or Tylenol to help with any pain as well.

    6. For immediate and quick relief that will only last maybe 15 minutes. Drink a teaspoonfull of lemon juice.

    The above helps greatly with me and my family. I hope it helps you.

  2. Ancient Remedy for Coughs, Congestion, Sore Throats

    * 1 cup honey

    * 1/2 cup fresh Thyme or 1/4 cup dried Thyme

    1. In a small saucepan, combine the two ingredients and heat gently over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes, being sure not to let the honey boil or scorch.

    2. Remove from heat and allow the honey to cool. Strain out the herbs, then bottle the honey and label it.

    Spray for Sore Throats

    * Geranium - 2 drops

    * Lemon - 1 drop

    * Tea Tree - 1 drop

    * Pine - 1 drop

    * 1/2 cup Chamomile tea

    * 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

    * 1 teaspoon honey

    Brew and steep the tea for about 10 minutes. Strain well - you can use a coffee filter or a piece of cheese cloth for straining. Combine the honey, vinegar and essential oils and stir. Add mixture to tea and mix well. Add to spray bottle and use to spray your throat every 2-4 hours as needed. One to two sprays at a time should be sufficient.

    Zesty Cider Cold and Flu Formula

    Several healing ingredients make this tasty formula one that you can drink at the first sign of a cold or flu to help open up your sinuses and bronchial passages. You can also gargle with it for relief from Sore Throats. Here s the recipe:

    INGREDIENTS

    * 25 Cloves Garlic, minced

    * 2 tablespoons dried or 3 tablespoons fresh Echinacea root, grated or chopped

    * 1/3 cup fresh horseradish root, grated

    * 1/4 cup fresh Gingerroot, peeled and sliced

    * 1 large white onion, diced

    * 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper powder

    * Honey to sweeten, if desired

    * Raw apple cider vinegar, 1 quart or less

    1. Place all dry ingredients in a 1-quart wide mouth jar. Fill to the top with vinegar. Cover the top of the jar with plastic wrap, then s***w on the lid.

    2. Refrigerate for 6 weeks so the flavor can develop and soften. Shake daily. There s no need to strain and bottle it unless you want to. The flavor keeps getting better and bolder the longer the formula is allowed to steep.

    3. At the first sign of a cold or flu, take 2 tablespoons of this formula with a warm water chaser. Rinse mouth out well after swallowing the cider. Repeat once or twice daily for the duration of the illness. You should feel your sinus and bronchial passages quickly open and your breathing become easier.

    4. For a Sore Throat, gargle with the formula for 60 seconds, spit, then rinse out your mouth. You should feel immediate relief.

    Makes about 1 quart.

    Sore Throat: A gargle made from black tea with a teaspoon of Lavender flowers, a quarter teaspoon salt and a quarter teaspoon vinegar will help reduce pain. An alternative to this is Sage tea mixed with honey and Lemon.

Do not give medicinal preparations to children under 2. for older children and the elderly start with low strength preparation and increase strength if needed.

  3. Try hot water and lemon juice, you can gargle with warm salty water . Horehound candy and peppermint is good .

  4. to relieve it use some warm water and a teaspoon of table salt. Stir until dissolved and then gargle a couple times using up the water/salt solution.

    Salt is a natural healer/cleanser.

    The sore throats may be from nasal drip. 3 a year is quite a bit. Allergies maybe.

    For sinuses, just to be sure they are clean and healthy, look into netti pots. All that is is a little tea pot looking device that you again put warm water and salt in and you pour it in one nostril and let it come out the other. Use "sea salt" for this though, not table salt....I'll let you look it up instead of me rambling on.

    Good luck.
