What are some effective stretches for a scorpion?

I have my scorpion but I'd like to get my leg higher.

Any suggestions?

  1. Hi, I was a cheer leader and the scorpion came natural for me but some of the stretches I did to help it was; the splits and those lunges where you press your hips forward.

  2. work on your arabesque penchee, thats what helps me, pull your leg higher and higher or get a theraband and pull it that way.

  3. Yea i am not a cheerleader or dancer but i am just flexible and i can do it but i always do the splits {middle, left, right}. and do a back bend or bridge w.e. you call it and pull one leg up while still bent backwards.
