What are some effects of greed in America?

I'm asking like what are effects in current events and in daily life, example paris hilton trying to inherit her Grandfather's money.

I guess you could say most people are kinda greedy. They want more food, clothes and always want the nicest house, car and boat.    

Paris is a bimbo.

If everyone drove 500$ clunkers, there would be no need for much of an auto insurance law.  People choose to drive 20,000$ cars and complain when they are in an accident and lose 20,000$ to an uninsured motorist, when that wouldn't have happened if they weren't so greedy and drove 500$ clunkers. People do not need 20,000$ cars, that is greed, not need.

Corporate greed , has got the whole middle class on the ropes ... can you imagine being the CEO of one of these huge companies ... you make a couple of million in salary, then tens of millions in stock options each year , while the poor keep getting poorer. and these guys just keep on going .. ONE year like that and I would be able to retire with more than i would ever need !
