What are some endangered animals in the Highlands, like in the Andes Mountians?

The two that spring to mind right away are the Andean Condor (that is doing somewhat better population wise, because of breeding programs), and the vicuna -- which looks somewhat like an alpaca.  The first like below has great profiles on both.

It looks like the "zorro" (Spanish for fox) might also be in trouble.  These small nocturnal animals aren't really a fox, but are more closely related to the dog family (see second link below).

While not "endangered" in general, Pumas roam through the Andes.  It's still trying to be determined if the pumas in the northern reaches of the Andes are a sub-species.  If they are, they certainly will make the endangered species list.
