one most quoted one is the harajuku kids in tokyo with all their colorful hair and clothes they use on weekends and parade down harajuku and on mondays they r back in their office sedately dressed again.  a phenomena of breaking away to relieve their angst! their personal / office life is simply terrible - hence the weekend jaunt
