What are some examples of animal welfare & animal rights?

I here the term "animal welfare" & "animal rights" being tossed around regularly, but what are some examples of them..

I have a few:

1.) killing animals for fur.

2.) Killing animals for food.

But are some more.

well shark fin soup is bring sharks to the edge of extinction  

also elephants are also geting dirved to extinction for loss of habitat ivory and being used for slaves

tigers are being killed for there brains also for there fur

for all aquatic mammals thay r faceing oil spills junk being thron in thier homes
