I have an ecology lab I have to do, but I'm having trouble finding some kind of commensalistic relationships that can be found in my backyard.. Of course, none of you really know what my backyard looks like- so I'm gonna kinda have to bluff.

But here's a brief description of my backyard: It has a plethora of trees that my dad planted like pears, apples, plums, and grape vines. We also plant lettuce, tomatoes, and various types of oriental herbs if that helps. There are lots of slugs and bugs that love taking a bite from our plants. And that's really all I can think of for now.

  1. Spanish moss is the best known I could come up with.  Bromeliads and orchids can also be commensalistic. Ferns and algae also.
