  1. The ozone hole has been closing steadily.

Perhaps it was just natural after all.

We were told that aerosol sprays depleted it, but no evidence was ever shown for that, so who knows?  Another theory never proven.

I doubt there's anything we do that would hurt the ozone layer.

  2. That was caused by me and my friends burning our farts while we were in college....  Word

  3. Burning things does not deplete the ozone layer. Chemicals called CFCs deplete the ozone layer if they get into the upper atmosphere. The most well known CFCs are Freon and Halon. Freon used to be used in air conditioners and refrigerators, and if it leaks out it can damage the ozone. Freon has been illegal for years now and all new air conditioners and refrigerators now use different chemicals. Halon used to be used in some fire extinguishers. I am not sure if it is still being used that way.

  4. The Ozone Layer is recovering since we banned CFC's. They were really the only things that depleted the Ozone Layer.

  5. plastic mostly. just things that shouldn't be burned.

  6. Ignorance is frightening.

The ozone 'hole' was 'caused' by CFC's in the stratosphere.

How that happened despite natural thermoclines is a question we were never supposed to ask.

  7. what ever that white powder stuff is they put into there smoke pipe

  8. not much. it was chlorine and bromine gas that caused it. CFCs (that release chlorine) were used in some fire extinguishers but that's about the only connection.
