I am in my sophomore (10th grade) year in high school and I think it's about time I took a SAT Prep class. I am planning on taking my PSAT the end of this year, but maybe I'll take the PREP class next summer for more time. I live in California btw.

Do you have any recommendations for SAT Prep classes for getting into exceptional universities? I've heard of the Princeton Review and Catalyst but I'm not sure which ones are effective. Help please =(

  1. I took a Kaplan SAT prep course last year and it helped me out so much. They gave out 4 practice tests throughout the course in class which helped with getting each section finished on time. They also  sent a box to my house with about 3 or 4 review books as well as vocab index cards. It really helped me raise my score and my classmates also did well too. Also if you take the SAT after taking their course and you're not happy with your score you can retake the course for free.

  2. Yeah Princeton Review, Kaplan, they all pretty much help out, but results differ from person to person simply because everyone has their individual differences.  I took a more local class in Polymath/ Dr. Yang, which raised my score by around 400 points

and beware of some classes that give out easy tests just to make it look like you got better (which was what happened in princeton review)
