Question:

What are some excercises i can do to jump farther?

I just finished my freshman year, my highest long jump was 16'5 and highest triple jump was 33'8...neither are great but does any1 have tips on how to improve them?

  1. i would imagine that squat thrusts would help some and same with the incline slide or sled and calf extensions all of which should help build leg muscles up to increase your strength for jumping.  not to sure though more of a power lifter here.


  2. To main things: you need to have more speed and you need to jump higher. when combining both of these you will see increases in your distances. I play college basketball and here are a few things I do to jump higher: plyometrics, jump  rope, speed ladder, and weights.

  3. besides working no your technique you can lift weights, do core muscle exercises, and plyometrics.

    Increasing your strength will improve your distances.
