What are some exercises I can do to get more power from my golf swing?

  1. There are numerous golf stretch exercises that you can do to improve your game.

    Probably the one exercise that can improve your swing and be able to gain distance from it is stretch exercises to loosen up your lower back. This will improve the amount you can turn on your back swing and gain power from it.

    Lie on your back with legs extended.

    Raise one leg and bend at the knee to 90° in knee and hip.

    Cross that leg over extended leg, while opposite shoulder stays on the ground.

    Go until slight pull in butt and lower back.

    Hold and repeat once more.

    Switch legs and do opposite side.

    The benefits are:

    Allows for a bigger back swing, while your hips remain stable.

    Creates more torque between lower body and upper body, which in turn provides more club head speed and increase distance.

    Helps reduce strain in your lower back during repeated swings.

    allows golfer a more effortless swing and reduces muscular tension, which in turn improves your accuracy.

    This one exercise improved my swing and increased my distance.

  2. It is more important to build stamina than power in the golf swing. If you have stamina you can maintain a level of physical consistency for the entire round or two without tiring. This will lead to more consistent golf swings leading to better accuracy. Much power will only lead to trouble. Witness John Daly!!

  3. just keep practicing as much as you can.
