Okay so I am pretty fast, but I want to be able to strengthen my legs to run even faster. Any good exercises besides like squats or lunges?

Also will it strengthen them to do like high knee running and seat kicks?

One final thing; will it be bad to do the exercises every day?

thanks

  1. a good way to strenghthen your legs would be to lift weights (dead lifts are really good). another way would be to do repeat sprints (repeat 300s or 400s are good, as long as you don't lose your form while running). fire hydrants, trail legs, & supermans will also strengthen you legs

high knee running will strengthen them, but don't do seat kicks or but kicks. seat kicks will make you get into the habbit of making your legs cycle while running. you want to make your legs go under you so you can push off the ground... so seat kicks, even though they may make your legs stronger, they will make you slower

it is good to exercise every day, but bad to lift weight every day & it is bad to have two really intense workouts in a row. you need to give your legs some time to recover.

also before you workout remember to have a really good and long warmup (dynamic stretching works best). & never to static stretching as your warmup, it will stretch your legs out, but wont warm them up, so you will have a very good chance of getting injured

  2. Take a stool and put weights of any size in both hands and with one leg lift youreself up on two the stool andn nack down then do it with the other.

    (Step ups)

    Every other day
