What are some family style restaurants in omaha that really stand out?

im visiting there and would like to take my family to a special place with good food. Any suggestions?

I'm more familiar with those in the eastern part of town...

The Amazing Pizza Machine is not great food, but a fantastic experience for a family- arcades, pizza buffet, movies, etc. The food is OK and decently priced, but the arcades can run up bucks quick! Located in the Millard area.

Petros is a small, old-fashioned family-owned diner with home-made food and ice cream. Delicious! About 60th & Center Street.

La Casa is a long-time family favorite for pizza and Italian food, on about 45th and Leavenworth.

Valentinos is a great pizza/Italian place whose 100th and Maple site is recently remodeled, features a Disney quiz, and lots of kid-friendly food. it is a regional chain.

Old Country Buffet at 78th & Dodge is a chain operation as well, but it is almost guaranteed your kids will find something to eat. Not very exciting, though!

In general, Cracker Barrels are family friendly and fun, and of course, you HAVE to go to a Runza if you have not been to one- best food of ANY fast food place I have ever been to.

There are a couple fun places to eat in the Dundee area, but you need to stop at the Creamery for dessert.

The Old Market downtown has good places as well.
