    Palais du Pharo, built for Napoleon III who wanted to have a place to stay in the city, near the sea.

    The Opera, built in 1787, and then rebuilt in 1924, after it was destroyed by a fire.

    Cathédrale Sainte-Marie-Majeure, built by Napoleon III during the nineteeth century.

    The Prefecture, nineteeth century too.

    Fort Saint-Jean, which was first built during the XII century by the Hospitaller Knights of Jerusalem. Some improvement were done during the XV and XVII centuries.

    There are a lot of famous buildings in Mareseille.
