What are some famous/must see places in england?

Don't just stick to London and the typical tourist places.  Visit other places Up North.  

Lake District (Cumbria) - famous for being the home of Beatrix Potter

Peak District (Derbyshire) - More countryside and beautiful scenery.  Explore caves in Castleton, eat a REAL Bakewell Tart in Bakewell.

Liverpool - Well most of the people who visit Liverpool are here for the Beatles and of course Liverpool FC (boooooo)

Nottingham - Home of the legend of Robin Hood!  Explore the Sherwood Forest.

Skegness (Skeg Vegas) - Beach and Butlins!!! lol

Thats all i can think of at moment lol

Well, im thinking mainly in London, you have loads of sight-seeing places, i.e Buckingham Palace, The Eye, The "Gherkin" Building etc

There are some nice beaches, sea-side resorts, Just visit some places and see what you think!

The All England Lawn Tennis Club where they hold the prestigious Tennis tournament called Wimbledon.  That's about it for me : )
