What are some farming similarities and differences between New England and the Southern Colonies?

They both grow corn, soybeans and wheat.  The South grows cotton and peanuts.  They both raise beef cattle but the South a lot more.  They both produce dairy products but New England a lot more.  The South has large farms, while New England has smaller more specialized farms.  They both raise chickens and eggs.
