What are some fast growing plants?

i need any plant that i can buy that grows pretty fast for a biology experiment so yeah and where i can purchase them too because i have no idea about plants :S

  1. What experiment are you doing?  Since that will determine your choice of plant!

    Some fast growing plants - bamboo, some ivies, lots of cultivated crops like peas, beans, corn, etc.


  2. hmm. how bout just a few sprouts of common grass or that annoyingly fast spreading weed?

  4. Giant sunflowers.

    Those things are amazing, from seed, 5-6 feet in about 3 months, you can practically watch them grow.

  5. Bamboo,eucalyptus  deglupta (Rainbow Eucalyptus),

  6. runner beans are quick growers for experiments
