What are some fast growing plants?

i need any plant that i can buy that grows pretty fast for a biology experiment so yeah and where i can purchase them too because i have no idea about plants :S

What experiment are you doing?  Since that will determine your choice of plant!

Some fast growing plants - bamboo, some ivies, lots of cultivated crops like peas, beans, corn, etc.
