What are some food choices apart from chicken that Swiss Chalet offers on their menu?

I've never been to Swiss Chalet before. 9 of my friends and I will be going to Swiss Chalet to celebrate my birthday and I was wondering what food do they have there since I have 2 Muslim friends coming and they are not allowed to eat meat without praying to it before it was killed.

Do they sell pasta? Pizza? Bread? Soup?

If you can, please list some food that they have on their menu that does not relate to meat.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

  1. Here's a link to the menu and you can have a look at it.

  2. There are dinner-sized salads to start with. Many have chicken in them, but could probably be ordered without. There's a grilled cheese sandwich on their kid's menu. They'd probably make an exception for your friends; you usually you have to be 12 or under to order it. Mind you, you can practically make a meal out of the Garlic Cheese Loaf from the starters menu. There's a veggie burger which would be a great choice if they like that sort of thing, and they also have a vegetable stir fry.

There are a few things on their sides menu that could probably be combined to make up a decent meal, such as their amazing french fries (my favourite anywhere), sauteed mushrooms, mashed potatoes, rice, corn, mixed vegetables.

I'm sure your Muslim friends will find things to order. They're probably used to figuring out suitable meals anytime they go to a restaurant.

    Have a happy birthday!

  3. Their best bet would be salad.  They have salad meals.  The vast majority of the entrées contain chicken and then they have ribs.  Even their soup has chicken in it.
