What are some food station ideas?

What have you seen that went well at other weddings you attended or your own? What would you like to see served that you haven't yet?

How many different stations did you go with or were at the other weddings? Does it depend on the guest count or just however many options you wish to have?

I was just at a station wedding. It consisted of three main station areas that were all spread out. One was a carved beef and asparagus and squash. Another had stuffed chicken, pineapple rice, and something else i am forgetting. The third was a pasta bar with different types of pastas and red sauce and alfredo sauce.

I went to one with Cheeses of the World, a fruit station, beef carving and turkey carving as well as veggies and pasta.

I think a fajita station would be cool ( =

best wedding i ever went to had food stations that were different ethnicities. one was "Italian Station" with pastas and sauces and meatballs, etc. one was "mexican station" with burritos tacos etc, one was "chinese station" with chicken terriaki, stir fry, fried rice, etc. it was sooooooo awesome!!
