Yes, whole fat dairy (milk, cheese, yogurt) are excellent ways to add healthy calories to your day.  A good daily snack would be to make a smoothie at home in a blender.  Purchase a good quality protein powder from GNC or another health food store, and add a scoop of that along with a cup of milk, a cup of yogurt, a banana, and frozen berries.  Add ice and blend to the desired thickness.  If you're trying to gain weight, the key is to do it with healthy calories.  Good luck!

Drinking whole milk will help.  Eat calorie dense foods such as dried fruit and nuts.  Start a weight lifting program which will increase your appetite.  Eat nutritious high calorie snacks such as cheese, granola bars, even some ice cream.  Use some of the products such as Boost as snacks - they are high in calories.

Make sure you have at least 3 square meals per day.  Eat a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains and meats along with your complexed carbohydrates.  Make sure you do some form of exercise.  Brisk walking is good exercise.  What ever size you acquire with this is your right size.

  4. im in the exact same situation as you. id love to gain weight but i never do what ever i eat. i get taken the mickey out of alot but who cares when were just being ourselves?

  5. Gaining weight is very easy despite what a lot of people say. All you have to do is eat the right foods, but of course don't become unhealthy. This is a good diet plan for someone who wants to gain weight:

    Breakfast:

    ~Omlete with 2 eggs, 2 oz of cheese, and some peppers and other veggies.

    ~2 or 3 long strips of bacon

    ~A tall glass of whole milk with instant carnation power in it

    Snack: A muffin with juice/or milk

    Lunch:

    ~Sandwhich with whole wheat bread, 2oz of salami, 2 oz of cheese and lots of mayo

    ~a bag of chips (any kind, just not low fat of course)

    ~1/2 cup of sliced up fruit or whole fruit (like an apple)

    ~A medium sized fruit smoothie

    Snack: A half a cup of icecream or a bowl of cereal

    Dinner:

    ~1 cup cooked rice(make sure to cook rice with oil and garlic, to make it healthy but also to gain weight)

    ~1/2 cup beans

    ~1/2 cup spinach with lots of dressing

    ~4 or 5oz of steak or pork(add lots of meat sauce)

    ~A can of soda

    Dessert: A slice or 2 of cheese cake (or any other gourmet desserts) with a mcdonalds Mcflurry ice cream shake.

    Eating that everyay will DEFINATELY make you gain weight, but thats if you wana gain ALOT of weight. Because that'll make you gain 10 or 20 pds in a month depending how fast your metabolism is and how much you excersise. But once you gain the right amount I suggest you go to a lower calorie intake diet so you don't continue gaining so much weight, cause it will eventually lead to obesity. Don't strain it and make yourself eat when your full, take it slow and add more food as you go, don't just eat all that starting tommorow, eat a little bit more everyday and it'll lead up to that.     (Well whole milk will make you gain more weight than you would drinking fat free milk but whole milk has a lot of saturated fat so its not that good for you so I would reccomend 2% or 1%, they only have a few calorie difference, it really won't matter.)
