Some of the antiwar protests come to mind...

Physically prevent people from entering a location to which they are authorized to go (just make sure the police are on your side of the issue, unless you don't mind taking responsibility for breaking the law).

Destroy public or (someone else's) private property.  Again, this is illegal, so you want to make sure the police will let you do this.

There was also a kidnapping plot in progress.  I guess the police decided they couldn't just look the other way on this, so they warned the protesters off, and the protesters said they were just joking anyway.

Well I was reading that Hotel Workers for Disney in California got arrested for protesting because they formed a cirlce in the middle of a very busy intersection, blocking traffick for an hour.  They are protesting for workers rights.
