  1. No matter what car you have, try the gas saving steps. They work. They saved me close to a quarter of a tank per week. That's what, $10.00? awesome.

  2. Volt....all electric

  3. This site will tell you all you need to know:

  4. Just about anything with 4 cylinders.

  5. other than the obvious (hybrids), i would definitely go for a civic. great gas mileage, minimal maintenance, good price, and good re-sell price.

  6. Toyota and Honda have been having good feedback on this category. Find out more on this site, so you would really know how to decide:

  7. The Prius, at best, nets 45 MPG w/ normal driving.  No good.

A VW Golf diesel nets about the same, but is much more cost-effective.  In addition, hybrid technology is still relatively untested, and the Golf is much better for the environment if you are worried about such things (for fun, Google information about the environmental hazards of Prius batteries and the factories that manufacture them.) Not to mention the ungodly amounts of energy it takes to produce said batteries...I laugh to myself when I hear people say Priuses save energy.

Anyway...diesel engines are well-proven, hybrids are too new to rely upon, and at least the diesel is better for the planet, as well as being more efficient than the Prius in highway driving (NJ to NY)

  8. Toyota Prius

  9. Civic or corrolla, used or new they will be great on gas.  Plus they're very dependable so even if it's older you won't have to worry about maintenance.

  10. A Prius is great on gas mileage, and is a hybrid. If you don't have the money for one of those, get a Smart Car. They are a good price and are extremely good on gas.

  11. It is recommended that if you do not drive over 15,000 miles a year you do not buy a Toyota prius or its hybrid competitors. Simply because you will not get your money worths. Honda has high mpg regular cars however. Best of Luck!

  12. Honda Civic. I love my 08 Civic LX (coupe) i get like 35mpg on it mixed driving, its great. It's very reliable being a Honda, handles great, isn't slow, and feels very comfortable.

  13. I live in Germany right now and have been driving a Smart car for the past year. It gets GREAT gas mileage and they're selling them in the States now. If half a car isn't your thing, the Toyota Prius gets great mileage.

  14. I drive a new Chevy Aveo.It gets between 35-38 mpg.Is a good car. Both back seats fold forward(down) seperately to make more room for hauling stuff. Also has 3 seat belts in the back seat.

Is very easy to drive and really cute!
