  1. My sister has a 6 year old and they went to Michaels crafts and got a few kits to make.  So far they made a cement kit with pebbles to make a stepping stone.

  2. I build forts with my kids.I have three an 8yr old, 7yr old and a 5yr old. You can make sun catchers or someting like it. All you need is black construction paper and diffrent color tissue paper stuff you should have in the closet. You cut out the design(make sure you leave enough space to glue) and take it from there. You can also go to Family .com and get other ideas. You can make hand puppets out of paper lunch bags too.

  3. is it a boy or a girl?? if it is a girl you could make some jewlery. but if it is a boy you could make some paper airplanes or build a fort. both are great ideas.

  4. Ask her moither and if she approves take the six year old old crayons and with baking cups melt them together to create new crayons, rember to take off the wrapper.

  5. Like the first person said, goto an art store and buy some things. Books are good, board games, bake something together, go for a car ride, goto the mall, do a craft from one of those stores, color, watch/goto a movie, so many more things. I do have one very special memory you could make. My mother did this with me every storm. We'd just sit out on the screened in porch together (you can just sit by a glass door if you don't have one), we'd be dressed in PJ's, and just sit and watch/listen to the rain. Sometimes we'd talk, light candles, maybe eat out there. But other times we'd just sit, focusing on the pitter-patter of rain droplets. It was special, and it's how I'll always remember my mother.

  6. hmm....

whenever i was younger i loved to watch movies. you could drive to a movie theater... make sure you only watch G movies unless the parent allows PG... also you could go to a local craft store like hobby lobby or Michaels and get the letters of their name, or intiials and paint them and put stickers on them... they have a million things there... like you could get T shirts that are like 2 dollars and you could get some fabric paint or iron-on letters which are really great and make t shirts that yall can wear...

Also, watch movies at home or if they like to dance yall could make up a dance if you have some kid music on an ipod or Cd and speakers. Also you could cook... if you want you could make cookies and ice them, or cupcakes... kids really enjoy those hands on activities. you could get popsicle sticks and glue them together in a sqare shape and put like 3 next to each other on each side and make a picture frame where you glue the picture on the back.  If you go to craft stores you could also get little Kits like with bowls that you can paint and you could eat in the bowls when they are dry.  You could also get a Tye-dye kit which is messy, but really fun... you should wear aprons and latex gloves for that though and read some online instructions. you could get some coloring books that they can color in and some books to read to them with.  Also you could take them rollerskating at a local rollerskate center, or iceskating which is really fun. Also you could take them to a sports center and play basketball indoors which would be fun... you could look online or in the phonebook for a pottery place where you can paint pottery which usually takes around 2 hours... that was also my favorite thing to do. you could also get an oragami kit at a local craft store and some square paper for airplanes... also you could get some string and bead that are big enough for a 6 year old to string easily and make necklaces, bracelets, headbands, etc.  Also you could get some cheap flip flops at a craftstore and cut out small strips of bandana that you like and tie it around the flip flops to make cute shoes.

    I hope that this helped!

    good luck

  7. Singing in the rain!

Or indoors...the good ole's crayon and paper embossment! Place paper,on embossed surface and crayon over it..artsy enough for a 6 year old? Maybe pick a theme and make a collage?
